International Economic Forum took place in Kharkiv

The International Forum “Kharkiv: Development and Investments” took place on 31 May.

It was attended by 54 foreign representative offices, 20 international companies and more than 70 representatives of local businesses.

“Kharkiv has chosen the European model of development and we are on the way of modernization in each sphere of city infrastructure. The aim of the forum is to integrate efforts of city authority, diplomatic missions and international business in order to create a comfortable business environment for investors”, —  declaredthe First Vice-Mayor of Kharkiv Ihor Terehov in his greeting speech.

The biggest investors in Kharkiv development last year were Poland and Germany – almost 94%. Total sum of investments is over 407 000 USD.

It is was said at the forum that Kharkiv can be proud of the achieved results.  According to Kharkiv authorities, it is the only city with constructing subway in progress. Another prospective project – garbage recycling complex which is going to be the first in Ukraine. Estimated cost of the project is 44 mln USD. Besides, production, which cost 14,5 bln UAH, was manufactured by kharkiv enterprises.

During the forum it was also  a workshop for Kharkiv businessmen from representatives of international and Ukrainian banks.
